Terms & Conditions of Usage

These Terms & Conditions of Usage (“Terms of Usage”) describe and govern your (“User”, “you”, “your”) use of the Astra mobile application and website (collectively, “Astra”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By accessing or using Astra, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Usage. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Updation

We may update, amend, or modify these Terms of Usage from time to time. The latest version will be posted in the app/website. Your continued use of Astra after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Please review them periodically.

2. User Consent

By using Astra, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Usage. When presented with an in-app consent (e.g., an “I AGREE” button), clicking it confirms your consent.

3. Services & General Description

Astra is a digital platform providing access to astrologers and related content, which may include reports, data, and consultations via telephone, video, and chat (“Content”). We offer both free and paid services (“Services”). Users may browse free content without registration; personalized consultations or paid features may require an account.

• User choice: Astra does not automatically connect you to an astrologer. You browse profiles and choose whom to consult.
• First free call: Your first call includes 2 minutes free. This applies once per unique user (as reasonably determined by device/phone verification and anti-fraud checks).

4. Registration & Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract (Indian Contract Act, 1872).
• Provide current, complete, and accurate information and keep it updated (“Registration Data”).
• Accounts may be created using your mobile number with OTP or other supported sign-in methods. Keep credentials secure.
• Do not create multiple accounts with different numbers. Duplicate/fraudulent accounts may be suspended.
• By agreeing to these Terms, you consent to receive transactional/service communications (push, WhatsApp Business, RCS, SMS). You can manage certain preferences in settings.

5. Feature: Call/Chat with Astrologer

• By opting to call or chat, you authorize Astra to facilitate the connection to your selected astrologer (including if your number is on DND).
• Free-minute eligibility is shown in-app before you connect. Abuse (e.g., repeated attempts to re-claim free minutes) may result in restrictions.

6. Content & Acceptable Use

• No unlawful, defamatory, abusive, obscene, hateful, harassing, or infringing content.
• No malware, unauthorized access, scraping, or interference with the Services.
• Educational/incidental information on Astra is not medical, legal, or financial advice. Consult qualified professionals for those areas.

7. Payments, Delivery, Cancellation & Refund

• Paid Services are charged as displayed in-app before you confirm. Taxes/fees may apply.
• Once a paid consultation has begun or has been allocated to an astrologer upon your request, refunds are generally not available.
• In limited cases (e.g., connection failure, astrologer language mismatch as listed on profile, excessive response delay, or clearly irrelevant responses), contact support within 1 hour. We review session metadata/logs (we do not record audio/video) to assess eligibility. Remedies may include re-connect or a partial/full refund to your original payment method or in-app credits (if available).
• Approved refunds are typically processed within 10 business days. Bank/payment gateway fees and permissible charges may be deducted.

8. User Obligations

Do not spam, scrape, reverse engineer, resell access without consent, or violate any law. Be respectful with astrologers and other users; abusive behavior may lead to suspension.

9. Restricted & Inappropriate Content

Zero-tolerance for child endangerment; sexual content/profanity; hate speech; bullying or harassment; graphic violence; terrorism; and dangerous/illegal products or services (including drugs or weapons). Accounts violating these standards may be removed and, where legally required, reported.

10. Intellectual Property

The Astra app, website, logos, designs, and other materials are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works unless authorized.

11. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

• Astrology is guidance only. We do not guarantee outcomes, accuracy, or suitability.
• Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Astra is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Astra, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims or demands arising out of your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of another.

13. User Account Access

To maintain service quality and investigate abuse/support issues, authorized Astra staff may access account records and metadata in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Privacy Policy

Your use of Astra is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

15. Breach & Termination

We may modify, suspend, or terminate your access to the Services (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice, including for violations, fraud, abuse, or risk to users/Astra.

16. Notices

Contact Astra at support@astraconnect.co.in. Notices to you may be provided via the app, website, SMS, email, or push notifications.

17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, disputes will be resolved through arbitration conducted in Kochi, Kerala (seat/venue), in English, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, by a sole arbitrator mutually appointed. Courts in Kochi, Kerala have exclusive jurisdiction for interim relief.

18. Miscellaneous

• Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
• If any provision is found invalid, it will be replaced by an enforceable term that most closely matches the original intent.
• These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Astra regarding the Services.
